Built by Matt McPherson and the Engineering Team at Mission Crossbows, the SUB-1 was designed to improve on every category that matters to a serious hunter — accuracy, ease of use, stealth, maneuverability, and fit. The result is a crossbow backed by over 24 patents and patents pending, consistently capable of delivering sub-1-inch groups at 100 yards for hunters who demand precision they can count on in the field.

At the heart of the SUB-1 is the patented Benchmark Fire Control system, three years in development and the first of its kind to let you safely de-cock your crossbow with the push of a button — no disengaging the safety, pulling the trigger, or shooting a bolt into a target required. The two-stage, match-grade trigger uses a fully contained rolling sear set at a crisp 3.4 pounds, while the Easy-Load™ bolt retention arm makes loading effortless and applies optimal downward pressure for a secure hold, eliminating noise and vibration for consistent, repeatable accuracy.

Precision shooting comes from the sum of the SUB-1’s parts, starting with the patented Sync X cam system. Two circular, concentric string tracks keep the string traveling at a constant distance from the center of rotation, working in unison with a CNC-machined flight track to completely eliminate horizontal and vertical nock travel. The 80% let-off Sync X cams deliver controlled acceleration for uniform arrow launch, while making cocking and de-cocking effortless.

Fit and comfort are fully customizable thanks to a rifle-inspired stock adjustable across 6 length positions (14.5″–15.75″ LOP) and 1.25 inches of comb height adjustment with an ambidextrous cheek piece. The ergonomic, over-molded AR-style pistol grip is contoured for a positive feel and is interchangeable with aftermarket AR-style grips (non-beavertail style).

Stealth was a core design metric for the SUB-1, resulting in a crossbow significantly quieter than competitors — especially when compared to the loud, boat-winch-style cranks found on other models, thanks to the R.S.D. System (Removable Silent Draw). Combined with a compact, easy-to-maneuver frame, the SUB-1 performs in tight quarters whether you’re in a ground blind or a treestand.

Finished in Realtree Edge and made in the USA, the SUB-1 Pro Kit comes fully assembled in a Mission soft case, complete with a 1.5x5x32 Hawke scope, MX-3 3-bolt quiver, three 20″ Mission bolts, and a rope cocking aid — a ready-to-hunt package built around uncompromising engineering and materials.
